Inspiring Journey of Shri Prakash Raghunath Autade – A Beacon of Hope for Farmers and Youth Alike

Today, we see countless young individuals stepping into the world of business. But around 13–14 years ago, one such visionary youth took a bold leap into the entrepreneurial world, foreseeing the future with remarkable clarity. That young man was none other than Shri Prakash Raghunath Autade – the driving force behind the Group of Ideal.

 

Fueled by immense willpower and relentless hard work, he laid the foundation of Ideal Foundation in 2012. Coming from a humble background and having faced the harsh realities of poverty and responsibility from a young age, he felt a deep urge to support talented students from poor farming families. This vision gave rise to his work in the agriculture sector. Beginning with animal husbandry as a complementary farming activity, he soon combined his academic knowledge and job experience to establish Ideal Agri Search and the Ideal Foundation.

A true entrepreneur never rests, and Prakash Autade is a shining example of this. With a strong passion for innovation in agriculture, he launched Ideal Agri Serve, offering a range of products including crop boosters, micronutrients, bio-fertilizers, pesticides, and fungicides. Over time, he introduced more than a hundred products tailored for various crops. These have empowered farmers to tackle pests and diseases effectively while improving crop quality and yield.

Starting this journey without any financial backing, Prakash Autade’s efforts are truly commendable. Throughout this journey, he has consistently expressed deep gratitude for the support he received from many individuals. He acknowledges the unwavering support of his family – his mother Laxmi, father Raghunath, and wife Ujjwala – who always stood by him with a positive outlook. His sister Nanda and wife Ujjwala played a vital role in keeping his morale high during tough times, making them an integral part of his success story.

Since its inception, the Ideal family has grown with dedicated individuals from farming backgrounds. Vice President Vaibhavkumar Jadhav and Secretary Ravindra Patil, part of the foundation since the early days, are seen as family by Prakash Otade. Every member of the Ideal Group is now considered part of this close-knit family.

Currently, Prakash Autade serves as a Director of the Agri Inputs Manufacturers Association of India and also holds the position of President of the Sangli Inputs Manufacturers Association. Despite achieving remarkable success, he continues to walk the path of honesty and remains actively involved in spiritual and educational causes.

Recognizing his contribution, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) honored him with the Best Agri Businessman award, and the Zee Media Group awarded him the Best Entrepreneur title. He has received numerous other accolades for his outstanding work.

From nurturing a small sapling to growing it into a grand banyan tree, the journey of Shri Prakash Raghunath Autade stands as a source of inspiration for young dreamers and a blessing for the farming community. Through his high-quality products and deep social awareness, he continues to bring light into the lives of farmers.

Dear Farmer Brothers and Sisters of the Ideal Family,

While engaging in direct interactions with farmers during discussion sessions held across different corners of various states through the Ideal Foundation, we have had the opportunity to learn many new things. These experiences constantly reaffirm the timeless saying, “Work is the true teacher.” Each conversation, each meeting with progressive farmers, has provided valuable insights and inspired the development of several innovative products.

 

Though many of you now regard us as grape experts or advisors, the truth is – you are our real teachers. The Ideal Foundation merely serves as a platform. We learn from you, and then pass on that knowledge to others. Our farmer members are the true strength and guiding force behind our foundation.

In line with this year’s resolution of “Save Trees – Save Earth,” the foundation is actively contributing to sustainable solutions for global climate change by promoting and executing large-scale tree plantation drives. We are also encouraging and guiding farmers to participate in this initiative. During visits to your farms, we’ve realized just how crucial it is to counsel and raise awareness among farmers regarding environmental responsibility.

The reach of the Foundation’s work has now extended beyond Maharashtra to states such as Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal. We are proud to see a growing number of farmers joining hands with the Ideal Foundation, sharing their experiences with us, and contributing to this collective journey of progress.

Ultimately, this continuous exchange of knowledge will benefit all of us. And we assure you that the work carried out by the Ideal Foundation will always be something you can take pride in.

Warm Greetings to the Farmer Associates of the Ideal Family,

I have been entrusted with the responsibility of presenting a review of the Foundation’s activities for this year. As our various programs unfolded, I was also given the important task of ensuring their effective execution, maximizing farmer outreach, budgeting, and, most importantly, evaluating the true value of knowledge that reaches our farmers. Hence, I believe it is also my responsibility to share a comprehensive overview of this year’s work with all of you.

Over 50 Facebook Live sessions were conducted, along with 20 seasonal meetings to share timely monsoon updates, and 12 expert sessions with meteorologists. On YouTube, we released more than 616 informational videos, reaching lakhs of subscribers, including over 500 Ideal Farmers’ Reels.

We have built a robust communication network with 1,200+ WhatsApp groups, over 320,000 group members, and 1,200+ broadcast lists, sending over 5,000 daily text messages. Seasonal voice messages were also sent as required. Additionally, our Krishivani program reaches over 900 WhatsApp groups daily.

Between 2022 and 2024, we conducted 450 farmer Zoom meetings with online participation from more than 48,000 farmers.

Through Ideal Agri Lab, we conducted:

  • Over 12,000 soil tests
  • Over 2,500 water tests
  • Over 9,000 leaf/stem tests
  • Over 9,000 government-based agricultural tests.
  • Over 2,500 tests for social organizations

For the Ideal Farmer Awards, 41 progressive farmers from across the country were selected based on crop quality and innovative practices. In keeping with our social responsibility, we also:

  • Distributed school supplies to underprivileged students.
  • Installed clean drinking water systems in schools.
  • Provided Ideal Scholarships and launched the Adopt-a-Student initiative
  • Delivered free food supplies to flood-affected and needy families
  • Conducted awareness programs through radio (FM) and medical organizations on grape consumption benefits.
  • Organized Food Grain Festivals in collaboration with the agriculture department across several villages

In the upcoming year, under the campaign “Save Trees – Save Earth”, the Ideal Foundation will continue its mission to combat global climate change through large-scale tree plantation efforts across India. Additionally, we plan to place more focus on:

  • Soil, water, and plant stem testing tailored to the diverse soils, crops, and farming practices of each state, Encouraging sustainable productivity across regions.

For this purpose, Ideal Agri Lab has undergone a complete transformation. Now housed in a spacious facility, the lab is equipped with state-of-the-art tools and is fully prepared to serve our farming community with advanced analysis.

In the near future, the Foundation aims to connect with farmers in states like Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Uttarakhand, expanding our reach and impact further.
